// BOMBAY BOMBAY BOMBAY //

// http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZCfqhRgJ0Q //

*Okay so this blog post is going to be a bit long because my life has been slightly more eventful now that I'm not spending all my time in the studio* *Also this blog post contains A LOT of THE Zoe*

So basically it's FINALLY uni holidays. I still have things due straight after this (very short) break but #YOLO. I'm just glad that I can stress a little bit less. (I actually got my first ever white hair wednesday night, and I'm D E V A S T A T E D.)

We celebrated the completion of our tech assignment and Zoe's coming of age by being rebels without a cause.

I also fit in some shopping on Thursday and Friday hehehe. Although I only just realised that I'm actually going to be quite poor because I'm not working this holidays since our shop is undergoing renovations...which means NO INCOME. THE HORROR.
I bought some expensive togs because I figured it'd MOTIVATE me into exercising. (Or maybe that's just another really lame excuse to make up for me spending money I shouldn't be spending)
I GOT A HAIRCUT. All the bleach is gone
pineapple togs so cute

SO YEAH I finally got a haircut which was wayyyyy long overdue. Now my hair feels so much lighter and healthier without my bleached ends. I normally go to Ryota Hair on Albert St in the City. It's such a cute place and the people there are all so nice :')
so fooking cute // RYOTA
I bought a pair of boots from Zu because they were 30% off #lol. Also because the other boots I ordered off ASOS were too big for me so I gave them to Tiff. (yEP her feet are bigger than mine)

Saturday night was the Bombay Bicycle Club concert. I hung out with Zoe for a few hours at her house before the concert BUT THEN we realised it would be really difficult to get into the valley because of Riverfire. We were kinda like oops...should've thought this through first. We ended up running for the train which was packed with people. The journey from SouthBank to Fortitude Valley was a NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE. After Central station, the train entered a tunnel and started going faster and faster and I SWEAR TRAINS NORMALLY DON'T TRAVEL THAT FAST. AND BASICALLY I ACCIDENTALLY SAID WHAT I WAS THINKING OUT LOUD AND WAS LIKE 'WHAT IF THIS IS A SUICIDE TRAIN' (because of all the high terrorist alerts in Brisbane). Every single person in my train carriage was probably thinking 'fuck you why would you say that out loud'. BUT TURNS OUT it wasn't a suicide train and I'm still alive AND I've come to the realisation that I'm just a VERY paranoid person. After arriving at the valley (alive THANK GOD), we ate at the food court to save some time. BUT HERE'S THE THING. As previously mentioned, we chose to not go to the Architecture Ball and go to Bombay instead. When we were at the train station we saw SO MANY people dressed in gowns because the ball was held at Cloudland. Me and Zoe were like 'FOK WHAT IF WE SEE PEOPLE FROM OUR COHORT AND THEY SEE US EATING PIES IN THE FOOD COURT'. IT WAS A REALLY STRESSFUL TIME FOR US. We did actually see a couple of people we recognised and in my mind I just thinking 'OH SHIT PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN AND PRETEND YOU DON'T EXIST RIGHT NOW'.

We met with Darcy and walked over to the Tivoli. We also saw Acacia, Rainey and her friend and so we stood with them. We were all SO CLOSE to the stage.

The opening acts were East & City Calm Down. They were both so good!! East was actually so amazing, I would marry her in a heartbeat. Her singing and stage presence and hair and EVERYTHING. FOK. SRSLY PLS MARRY ME. She also covered Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood and I was like 'okay yep you're the definition of perfection'. EVERYBODY HAVE A LIL LISTEN TO HER SINGLE 'OLD AGE'
City Calm Down was also really good; their performance was actually so intense. Extremely strong eye contact/10.

After the opening acts, you could actually feel the anticipation for Bombay Bicycle club in the crowd. My excitement levels  QUAD-TRIPLED within a time frame of 15 minutes. When they came on stage and started singing everybody was just in a state of bliss. The light beams made me feel as though I had transported into a parallel universe where Brisbane actually gets good things.
AND THE DANCING. Everyone was just dancing without a care in the world. My feet may be sore right now, but everything was absolutely worth it.

SO CLOSE I MIGHT DIE (also shitty quality photo SOZ)
CAMERA LADY YOU'RE IN MY SHOT

The best moments were when the crowd sang along and Jack would close his eyes and just have the cutest smile on his face. HE'S JUST SO CUTE. ESPECIALLY WHEN HE RAISES HIS ARMS AND THE LIGHT SHINES ON HIM. Everyone in the audience just looked up and the very fact that we were sharing this experience and BREATHING THE SAME AIR was just heavenly.

PLS LOVE ME
IM GETTING IMMENSE POST CONCERT DEPRESSION
crYING

This has to be one of my favourite concert experiences. I have yet to remember a single flaw; literally everything was SO SO perfect.

After the concert me and Zoe both bought albums and Darcy bought an LP. Here's an absolutely horrible polaroid me and zoe took (at the train station) holding our albums. Also here's a (kinda) candid pola of zoe strumming the guitar.

I don't even remember what happened after the concert to be honest WE WERE ALL JUST IN SUCH A DAZE. On the way back to Zoe's house we were just being derps and IDEK.
get off the road zoE // life of a vlogger

The next morning we went to Boggo St Markets for Breakfast :) Look at these scenic pics. SO GR8

Waht 2 heck?!?

I saw this grassy field and was like 'OI Zoe go lie in the field' AND SO SHE DID. Except we had to wait for people to walk past first so we wouldn't be judged HAHHAHA

waiting for them to walk past
YUS! photo timeee
It was a pretty eventful weekend and I'm SO satisfied. I'm still trying to get back into reality after that concert BUT HOW.
ps. I saw a car swerving on a road with billows of smoke expelling from the rubber tyres this afternoon. Which was kinda concerning.

I shall probably blog a lot more often this week because I'm on holidays and I actually have more time to do things that are blog worthy.

peace owt
