// STICKIES //

a lil classic.

*IF YOU FEEL LIKE PROCRASTINATING MID SEMS STUDY, then you will enjoy this long(ish) blog post*

I've been taking 'accidental' afternoon naps for the past week, and so I decided to google search whether or not afternoon napping was hazardous towards our health. ANNNNNNNNNNNNND according to a case study, napping for more than an hour in the afternoon can in fact knock YEARS off your life.
A group of british scientists tested out this theory with the end result that nappers:
- are 2 and a half times more likely to die from respiratory illnesses than those who don't
- are increasing the chance of premature death by almost a third

BUT DON'T FRET because after reading a few other articles, I've come to the conclusion that the nap itself is harmless, HOWEVER if you're ALWAYS tired during the day despite getting 7 hours of sleep at night, it MAY be a sign of an underlying disease or problems that lead to premature death... so..uhhhhh. I'M JUST GOING TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT NOW. AND I'M ALSO GOING TO TRY AND GET ENOUGH SLEEP EACH NIGHT AND NOT NAP JUST IN CASE. I SUGGEST EVERYBODY READING THIS DOES THAT TOO. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY GUYS.

FRIDAY: I had critiques for my architectural design course. (Basically we have to present/explain our design). I'm hoping mine went well, although the tutors seemed to be A LOT harsher and have A LOT more criticism to say for everybody's designs. This semester's course has just been hectic and cruel. I guess getting lots of 'feedback' is good...but it's also ughhhh.
SORRY but the opportunity presented itself
Crits were meant to go for 10 minutes each person BUT WE ENDED UP AT UNI FROM 9AM TILL 6PM. The tutors just KEPT on critiquing people and asking questions which lead to people defending their designs, whilst I was just sitting there thinking 'CAN I LEAVE NOW SINCE I'VE ALREADY PRESENTED?'. Also, I managed to go through 1 and a half iPhone battery lives during crits WHICH REALLY SAYS SOMETHING.
Snapchat marathons. We were literally bored out of our minds
When I'd FINALLY left uni, I went to meet up with Seta in Southbank and we had dinner at the Brisbane Festival.

YUM // DELISH //FOOD
Afterwards we took the bus to West End and walked over to the Hi-Fi for the Sticky Fingers concert (WOOHOO)

Anything shiny has my heart

We arrived at 8, but Sticky Fingers didn't actually come on until 10:30pm. But since we went in as soon as they opened the doors, we managed to get to the very front YASSSS. But during the concert it got SO hectic; people were going crazy and pushing everywhere so THANK GOD I was standing right at the front because I actually had BREATHING space. I probably would've passed out if I were standing right in the middle. Quite a few people actually had to be pulled out by security because they were being squashed/ couldn't breathe.

From 8pm - 10:30pm, there were 2 opening acts and they were pretty good. I forgot one of the guy's names, but the other opening act was Lyall Moloney. Whatta lad; he was actually really good and so funny.

STICKY FINGERS WERE AMAZING THOUGH. I LOVE THEIR MUSIC AND THEIR HAIR AND THEY ARE JUST GREAT LADS AND IT WAS AN AMAZING CONCERT. They sung quite a few songs from their new album, but dun worreh - they did sing Australia Street as their very last song. Aaaahhh bless.

 IT'S FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE.

SATURDAY. I went to Colour Me Rad despite being kinda tired and sore after friday's concert. The weather was actually perfect. I had actually previously looked up the weather prediction and apparently it was supposed to rain. BUT IT DIDN'T #YAY (Thank you weather gods)
perfect weather
I realised that I should probably start running more often because 5km isn't suppose to be that much, but I was like NOP there's no way I'm running the entire thing.

The volunteers at each point were armed with guns filled with different coloured dye/ boxes of coloured powder and they actually attacked you as you ran past the check point. This chick literally stood in front of me as I approach and aimed her gun right at me HAHAHAHA.

V RAD V COLOURED // I look like such a little kid here
After the run, there was a stage and a DJ where they held a mini rave. It was kind of an awkward rave but it was still pretty fun. The main stage guy was chucking coloured powder colour bombs into the crowd.

Now that that's over, back to the horror of uni assessments waiting for me at home and on blackboard (For those who don't go to UQ, it's a site not an actual blackboard). I better start crack-a-lackin on my essay.

peace owt
