I think this song appropriately addresses the first half of my post (I'm not referring to it's metaphorical meaning bee teee dubz)

IT'S BEEN MONTHSSSS BUT I FINALLY WENT TO THE BEACH IN WHAT FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER (As you can imagine, in my mind I am currently breaking out into Disney's Frozen Soundtrack + )

Beach mode: Activated

Oh the sun, the wind, and the SAND. OKAY, so in the morning we went swimming at the beach. SOunds peaceful yeah? IT WAS (keyword: WAS). I was just enjoying the cool breeze and soft waves when BAM a monster of a wave crashed over me and literally took me along for a ride. I may or may not have done a few unplanned tumble turns in the water which resulted in having sand in EVERY SINGLE PLACE POSSIBLE. EVERY SINGLE PLACE. Needless to say, I got a free, very natural, intense, sea salt body scrub.

Walked around Surfer's afterwards and had lunch + Ben and Jerry's YUSS.

In the late arvo we went for a nice walk along the beach (this is pretty much prime time, when all the tourists come out. I saw plenty of people doing star-jump-poses for photos and also several Gold Coast 2014s carved out in the sand at various points along the beach)

What's a walk along the beach without some classic wave shots?

Whilst walking I STUMBLED ACROSS A FOSSIL. Okay not really though. We did find a random roma tomato. #datcontrast

We went to the Sunday Night Markets afterwards and me and Tiff got some cute matching bracelets. I also bought one of those head massagers HAHAHA. Maybe it'll help me get through stressful times this semester.

For dinner we drove over to Ashmore Seafood and Steakhouse. CAN I JUST SAY. BEST PLACE TO DINE EVER IF YOU'RE WITH YOUR FAMILY OR A BIG GROUP OF PEOPLE.

The place is ENORMOUS; they're business cards actually state that there's no need to book because there will ALWAYS be room.

Not only was the actual place huge, so were their meal quantities. We didn't finish our food (by a long shot), but I guess that's what takeaway boxes are for (ps they also had massive takeaway boxes - I guess they're used to customers accidentally ordering too much food). We made the mistake of ordering 4 dishes when we could've easily gotten away with just 2 (we had 4 people). I think it's the fact that pretty much ALL dishes came with chips and salad and that each table was given a whole plate of complimentary garlic bread as soon as they sat down. Service was also really fast; within 5 minutes of ordering our food, the 1st dish had already been prepared and served to us.

WELCOMING A WILD ANHIMAL INTO HER NEXT PHASE OF LIFE AKA ADULTHOOD. Anh had a cute dinner to celebrate turning 18 and she cooked for us!! All her dishes were vegetarian and it tasted absolutely amazzzingg. Quote from Akuila 'I thought vegetarian dishes were just salads WHO KNEW MAN WHO KNEWW'

The setup on her balcony was so so cute. The fairy lights and candles looked so good (good job Anh). HOWEVER I have devastating news. A blogger's worst nightmare. I FORGOT TO TAKE AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF THE WHOLE SETUP NOOOOOOOOOO. The lights can be seen in the corner of some photos though (that's all I have to offer I'M SORRY).
