// SYDNEY //

I contemplated using the blogger app on my phone throughout my stay in Sydney but in the end I decided I would just give myself the dreadful task of trying to recount everything that happened the past week in Sydney when I got home. Which unfortunately is now (Well yesterday if we're being exact).

I'm going to look through my camera roll and hopefully it will refresh my mind because I honestly think I do suffer from short term memory loss like WHAT DID I HAVE FOR BREAKFAST TODAY. Okay that's a lie, because I do remember having oats for breakfast which was totally gross since I slept in and my dad left a bowl of it on the counter and it had dried up already. WOW IM REALLY GETTING OFF TOPIC.. nobody wants to know about my breakfast. OKAY IM GOING TO START SPEED RECOUNTING SYDNEY. I'M PROBABLY GOING TO TRY AND MAKE EVERYTHING SUPER BRIEF. But knowing me I'll probably talk about the most pointless things and accidentally leave out main events. oops #soznotsoz

DAY 1
So our flight was at 7 (ew). This meant that I had to wake up at 4:30am. (I'm not a morning person)

AT THE AIPORT. GOODBYE BRISBANE.
WON'T MISS YOU AT ALL.

(ps I suck at blogging and don't know how to put more than 2 photos in a row so bear with the weird layout of my blog)

At the airport train station we bought our transport passes for a week. We all bought the multi 3 pass as well as an airport train return ticket which was all up $84. It was pretty worth it considering the fact that we took a lot of public transport during our 5 day stay. (The ticket covered all transport)
After catching the airport train straight to central, we headed over to our accommodation. Took a quick snap outside central.

ACCOMMODATION: We decided we really didn't need to spend much on accommodation seeing as most of our time would be spent out and about. So we stayed at YHA Sydney Central which is a youth hostel and only $39 a night (!yassssss!). H3H3H3 more money to spend on food and shopping!!! To be honest, I was expecting the worst when we arrived at the hostel; but it was surprisingly really good and clean and we actually had a really nice stay. Also the location of the Hostel was great in conjunction to the city centre. (literally situated opposite central station)

The rooftop view was pretty amazing as well

We didn't get to meet up with Rahmee until the second day, so the first day was spent exploring and shopping in the city. We went to an outlet (forgot the name) and also walked along George Street and Broadway. One of my favourite shops was definitely Kinokuniya. It's a huge book store that sells a large range of art books as well as stationery.

DAY 2
FINALLY TIME TO SEE RAHMEE (AND HER HOUSE). The others were lazy bums and slept instead of coming with me and Zoe to see Rahmee's new house (YOU POO HEADS MISSED OUT BIG TIME)

On the train
Outside Rahmee's house

After that we went back and met up with the others and then headed off to see USYD and Newtown.

A.S.S.R.A.Z REUNITED
The Sydney university grounds are breathtaking. The main building actually looked like a castle and I felt like I was walking through Hogwarts. The grass in the courtyards was so green - I just wanted to roll around in it (or stomp all over it).

NEW TOWN WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We spent a fair few hours exploring Newtown which is the West End of Sydney except 100x better.

We visited a pretty rad magazine store and ended up spending an hour in there. oops.

This is us attempting to look like an album cover art
For dessert we had Gelato Messino and I also bought some macarons from Adrian Zumbo's dessert place (which were delissshhh)

YUMYUMYUMYUM
After dessert we took a late night Ferry ride down the harbour. It was super cold but we had the best time. Unfortunately Rahmee wasn't there with us because she had to go home early for Ramadam. BUT WE WERE THINKING OF YOU RAHMEE <3 <3

DAY 3
HERE'S A PHOTO OF RAHMEE BECAUSE SHE LOOKS SUPER CUTE AND SUPER PRETTY. ILY RAHMEE YOU BETtER BE READING THIS. IF YOU'RE NOT READING THIS IT MEANS YOU LIED WHEN YOU SAID YOU KEEP UP TO DATE WITH MY BLOG. PS I actually look yuck in the right hand photo but look how photogenic Rahmee is. DAMN YOU

We went to the Powerhouse Museum then walked along the Harbour.

CAndid shots. Zoe waht r u doin.

After walking around we caught the train/ferry (I don't remember which) and made a visit to the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art).

This reminds me of Finding Nemo :')

Sarah being an angelic bird
THE MCA

This large installation was one the first level and it was pretty cool. It gave the impression of being inside a moving bus and I actually felt as though the ground beneath me was moving. Most of the installations at the MCA involved video and animation.(Unfortunately I didn't take photos of most of them because I didn't exactly know how seeing as they were constantly changing.

TRYING TO APPEAR DEEP IN
THOUGHT

THIS MIRROR THAT IS SEEN EVERYWHERE ON TUMBLR HA HA HA.

We had Pancakes on the Rocks for dinner mmmm
After dinner we went to Observatory hill A.K.A WHERE MULTIPLE SCENES IN DANCE ACADEMY WERE FILMED. The view was spectacular and the photo taken on my iPhone below seriously does not do the view justice. I do have some better quality photos on my camera but I cant be bothered to copy them onto my laptop right now. (sorry actually sorry)

DAY 4
Woohoo we went to Bondi Beach. First of all we visited the markets at Bondi Junction

MMMM AVOCADOS, STRAWBERRIES AND FLOWERS. THREE OF MY FAVOURITES.
We then caught a bus to Bondi beach and had a little picnic for lunch on the grassy hill overlooking the ocean. So scenic :')

Sarah looking angelic as usual
classic Zoe pose

I took a panorama that ACTUALLY looks good
After Bondi me Anh and Sarah walked around the city and browsed for a bit. Apparently there was a NBA player at culture kings s there was a huge line. But we were like merrrrp.
For dinner we met up with Chi and her friends and ate at this Italian (?) restaurant which was V nice. For dessert we went to this cute cafe close to our hostel and stayed there till they kicked us out because they were closing #lol

FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD

A fine snap of Seta and Sarah mid-argument

We took quite a few polaroids that day.

DAY 5
Our last day in Sydney :(
We took a bus to Surry hills and spent a majority of the day there. Before lunch we visited Brett Whiteley's Studio. His artworks were amazing and it was great to walk through his work space. Unfortunately no photos were allowed in his studio so I don't have any photographs posted here.

creepin on zoe
We then ate lunch at a really nice cafe called four.ate.five
The food was absolutely delicious.

HAY SETA (entering the cafe)

We then went (window) shopping down the street but everything was hella expensive. We also stumbled across this paper shop which was AMAZING and I bought a poster from there because I just couldn't resist.

Candid Zoe at the paper shop
Afterward we caught the bus to Oxford street and visited American Apparel and some other clothing shops. IT WAS FREEZING COLD AND SO WINDY.

RAINBOWWWWW FLAAGZ
Our last stop was the memorial park and pool of reflection (except I couldn't even see my own reflection in the pool of reflection so perhaps Jaden Smith's infamous quote is true)

SETA WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS MISSING IN MY PHOTOS
SO THAT WAS IT FOR SYDNEY. I HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST AND IT FELT LIKE MORE/LESS THAN A WEEK. I DONT EVEN KNOW. IT WAS JUST AN AMAZING TIME. RAHMEEEEEE I ALREADY MISS YOU <3 YOU BETTER COME UP AND VISIT US IN OCTOBER. CANT WAIT FOR A.S.S.R.A.Z TO BE REUNITED YET AGAIN.

peace owt
