// LORDE O MIGHTY //

O K. Concerts are actually life. I wouldn't hesitate in spending most of my money on concert tickets. Ahhhh dat feel you get in your chest when the bass beat is extra loud *mmmmmmmmmmm*

Yesterday I went to Lorde's concert at Riverstage. just W O W. It was actually phenomenal.

Before the concert Me and Anh went over to Zoe, Queenie and Myora's Suitcase Rummage section and sat with them for a bit. After that we met up with Seta and grabbed a bite to eat and also went to Myer because we wanted some dark lipstick HAHAHHAHA (ended up doing eyeliner there too) SAMPLES ARE THERE FOR A REASON OKAY. After that we took a few VERY NECESSARY moments to take selfies. Because...c'mon what's an event without an instagrammable selfie? (I may seem like I'm joking but I'm not...or am I?2?2?2?)

I do hope we looked (soft) grunge enough.

SAFIA was her opening act and they were amAZING. I just kept turning my head around and making eye contact with the people around me with an awe struck expression because I literally did not expect them to Be. That. Good. I'd previously listened to one of their songs on youtube and was like wooooahhh this band is seriously groovy. But hearing them live just cemented my love for their beatz.

After SAFIA, there was a little break and we took a few cute polaroids hehehehe. (Sorry Sarah theres a flash on your face because of the angle this photo was taken at).

When Lorde came out on stage the audience went pretty wild; and I must say her famous (often described as strange and perplexing) dance moves are actually amazing to watch live. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I don't understand how she puts that much passion and movement into her dance whilst maintaing even breathing throughout her performances.

Here are some bad quality snaps from my phone because my hands were shaky and lighting wasn't that great.

Right before she sung 'Ribs' she made a huge speech and talked about growing up and becoming an adult. I was literally like holy shit I can relate because I'm the same age as her. It still baffles me that she writes her own songs because her lyrics are pretty amazing. (My mum actually informed me on this) Ella's (Lorde) mum is a poet which was probably what encouraged and influenced her. AHH she's so talented. Whenever I see talented people who are my age or younger I feel so unaccomplished. Literally though...like what have I even done with my life. What even is my future. This blog post is getting a bit too dark for my liking (HA because my future isn't looking too bright HA) ANYWAYS IM GOING TO POST MORE SNAPS FROM LAST NIGHT.

She told everyone to hold up their cell phones and illuminate the area

During 'Team' the bass and beats just kept building up and there were flashing lights and beams and confetti aND IT WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL :')

- AND FOR SOME REASON THE VIDEO WON'T LOAD ON THIS STUPID BLOGGING SITE SO I GUESS YOU DONT GET TO EXPERIENCE A SEIZURE AFTER SEEING MY MOVING CAMERA HAND AND FLASHING PURPLE LIGHTS AND OCCASIONAL SCREAMING CHOIRS BLASTING ON SURROUND SOUND -

INSTEAD YOU GET A VERY FLURO LOOKING PHOTO

Overall it was a great concert experience and the weather was really good too unlike Ed Sheeran's concert which I will never forget...lining up 7 hours in the rain wearing ponchos and rain boots (<3 but it was also a magical experience <3)

peace owt
